Bottle shared courtesy of and with a slightly enraged (but willing to share) Malaysian stink badger at the December THT. Clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma of sweet red and light tart green apples. Flavour is moderate sweet and light sour. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle at THT thanks to sjogro. Clear light golden with quite big white head for a cider. Dried apple peel, light dust, soft apple juice, bitter chalk, soft tannins, some champagne. Light sweet and quite bitter for a cider. Just medium bodied with fizzy carbonation.

THT December at deanso’s, still. Very pale straw. With clear white head. Makes me sad and miss the dirty farmhouse ciders from Brittany. But then I just noticed deanso sold one Piss-Soaked-Garfield, so I’m still kinda happy! Dry apple and tannins. Cork. Light sweet and bitter. Thin body, too much alcohol, average carbonation. Nice woody dry touch.

750ml bottle from Sainsbury’s Darlington. Sparkling pale yellow colour with a foamy white foam head that diminishes to a thin layer and leaves some lacing. Aroma of tart apple, caramel, citrus, melon. Taste is sweetish tangy, tart apple, fruity, melon, citric, white wine, some drying tannin and hints of sulphur. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, drying tart finish. Quite OK.
