Opulent imperial stout flavoured with maple syrup and tonka beans.
OK, this is pure opulence. Imagine all the delicious things and add them to rich chocolatey stout.
It pours pitch black with thick and firm light brown head that leaves solid lacing on the walls of your glass.
Aroma is sweet vanilla and marzipan with the hint of maple syrup. In flavor intense sweetness of maple syrup, vanilla, mocha is balanced with the bitterness of dark dark chocolate and oak from rum barrels.

33cl bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours dark brown with a modest, beige head. Super smooth, roasty and complex with notes of chcolatatem tonka beans and hints of wood and vanilla. Desserty and velvety with a liquid dessert feeling to it. Certainly a nice one.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a dense and creamy, beige head that leaves neat laces. Intense tonka bean aroma - this very weird smell that I have a hard time with. Rich, sweet, fatty body, with the tonka beans mellowing out and the maple syrup gaining more prominence. Subtle roast but it's all a very sticky affair to be honest. Late warming alcohol. It's well made tho, no denying that. 120220

Opaque dark brown beer, good darkish tan head. The tonka is loud and clear on the nose. Smooth palate, fluffy and mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation nibbles away on the back end. Soft dark chocolate malts are somewhat overwhelmed by that odd vanilla chocolate coffee nutty tonka flavour that I am not a huge fan of. Touches of esters, maple and dark fruits. More tonka through the exit along with a tingling spice and a decent helping of chocolate cake. A flavoursome affair and despite being tonka dominated, quite drinkable for me. If you like tonka - this should be a delight!

Black with thin, creamy beige head. Aroma of tonka bean, maple syrup, and oak. Taste is sweet with a maple syrup finish. Hints of bacon and roasted grains. Full, syrupy body. Alcohol well hidden. A good dessert beer, but quite to the sweet side.
