With its centuries-old brewing history and time-honoured traditions, Belgium’s ‘craft’ beer movement is still very much focused on classic styles brewed to perfection. Homage, brewed with Yvan De Baets offers earthy and spicy hops, a spicy yeast character and is dry-hopped with Hallertau Blanc from Germany for interesting passionfruit and grape overtones. Dry and very refreshing.

Keg at the Fourpure taproom. Pours mostly clear gold, effervescent, with a dense creamy white head. Saison yeast in the nose. Light-medium sweet flavour, more yeast, some lemon peel, grapefruit, wheat bread, light bitter hay. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Tidy finish, more wheat bread, light bitter lemon rind and saison yeast expression. Very drinkable.
