Dark brown strong ale (Pannepot) brewed for the 10th anniversary of "I'Abbaye des Saveurs," Lille, France. Imagine for a second you have a beer that is descent enough to age on an oak barrel that once carried wine made from Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel grapes. And if that isn't good enough, let that same audacious beer mature on a delicate style of Burgundy wine barrel, the essence of Pinot Noir to Nuits-St.-Georges, an appellation often known for darker, more tannic red wines. Right, I've got your attention now! Where some brewers blend, Struise married Burgundy & Malaga through the simultaneous maturation of Pannepot. A very limited edition was bottled as CapSoul in 75cl bottles. Enjoy

Bottle. Pours dark brown tan head. Nose/taste of plum, dark fruit, caramel, oak, dates and sherry - full bodied.

Bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering, 2015. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Wood, tannins, caramel and dark fruit. Alcohol. Astringent. Vinous and dry.

Bottle, 10%. Very dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is malt, dark fruit, yeast, caramel, little candy, wood and a little plume. Flavour is malt, caramel, dark fruit, yeast, oak, wood, little chocolate, hop and a little bitter.

Sampled @ Danish Summer Gathering 2015 Sehr dunkel braunes/schwarzes Bier. Geruch leicht schokoladig, reife dunkle Früchte. Geschmack nach reifen dunklen Früchten, Schokolade, Kafffee, ok!

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark Brown colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Dark sugars present. Moderate biter flavor. Some yeasty esters. Caramel. Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are candy sugar, caramel, fruits, malt, hops and flowers.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, dark malts, wood and red wine. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 290815
