bb 3/24, bought on the basis of never gunna see its face again. Black, a little gloopy, a few tan bubbles. Rich chocolate fudge, roast, Welsh cake, spice and whisky aroma. Maybe there's just a little orange peel, but I'm sure that's suggestion. But there is a little there in the taste along with some hard spices, oak and the usual roast, cakey fudge etc. Still some bitterness. Low but some carbonation, not quite syrupy. A little bit upsettingly good TBQF.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with slight head. Aromas of chocolate coated fruit, a bit of booze and slick roasted malts. Flavors of orange brandy, clean roasted malts and oily dark chocolate. Clean. Whisky barrel is not overkill. Orange is subtle. Great stuff.

Bottled 07-03-19. Dark brown, with loads of chunks floating through. Small, brown head. Smells whisky, some orange, plenty stout. Nice body. Taste is a weird mix of smokey whisky, rich, dark chocolatey imperial stout and the tiniest trace of citrus peel. Luckily, the smokyness overrules the orange, and works quite well with the stout base. Pretty tasty, but looks horrendous. Needs filtering.

Look: opaque, near to black, moderate beige head of average retention. Aroma: chocolate, roast, vinous notes, prune, delicate oak barrel, a hint of whisky, iodine and bondages when warmer. Taste: light sweet, good composition of roast, prune, other dried fruit, vinous, subtle oak tannins,

Anders! 10/9/10/11/9/10
