Bottle, 5%. very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, liquorice, caramel and hop. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, liquorice, hop, medium sweet, little bread and a little bitter.

33cl bottle. Pours very dark brown colour with a huge most good lasting tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Taste of dark roasted malt, chocolate and coffee, mild hops, good!

Tried at the Nottingham beer festival 2015. Ruby black colour with an off white head. Roasted malt and fruity aroma and taste. Smooth and creamy.

A colablack, a head is very big and beige. Aroma has roastiness and black coffeem some liquirice and sourness. Taste has coffee, strong roastiness, some liquirice. Medium bodied, not so much of carbonation that could be expected from the big head. Good but quite simple.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Dark brown with a creamy off-white head. Has some extremely light and milky roasted malts throughout its character. Feels a touch thin in the palate.

Tap @EustonTap. Black with creamy offwhite head. Light, roasted aroma. Flavour is roasted with light fruitiness and coffee. Bitter and dry finish. Decent.

Cask at the Euston tap.always good for a tick. Clear dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a creamy lasting light tan head. Attractive beer. Aroma milky coconut, toast, praline and cream. Flavour is composed of sweet coconut cream, toast, tangy dried fruits and a little woody note. Palate is full and milky, low carbonation. Smooth on the tongue. Lingering woodland berry and smooth dark roast. Good stuff.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is roasted chocolate, light coffee, taste is bitter, roasted, sweet chocolate.

330ml bottle. Dark brown-black colour, foamy beige head leaving lacing and aroma of toasted smokey roast malt. Taste is smoke, roasted, malty, biscuit, red berry fruits, chocolate, coffee and earthy bitterness. Smoothish mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, roasty bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
