Bottled on Jan 05, 2015.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance has a ruddy brown color with a one finger white foamy head.
It dissipated nicely leaving some nice stringy sticky lacing.
The smell had a decent chocolate maltiness and a light coffee aroma.
The taste was sweet and roasty through the malts. A light rolling roasty chocolate/coffee aftertaste leads into a sticky sweet/roasty finish.
On the palate, this sat about a medium on the body. Iβd say a good sipper but the alcohol isnβt felt.
Overall, Iβd say this was a good old ale for the style and for me.

12 oz bottle poured. Pours a dark brown color with a bubbly head. Smooth rich malt flavor with a nutty finish. A lot of flavor in this one, and it lingers forever. Subtle hops throughout, as well as some brown sugar, maple, and a little chocolate. Aroma is a ton of sweet malt. I nice warming beer here. Enjoyed this.

Keg at BD Sheps Bush. It pours deep red-brown with a medium beige head. The nose is rich, toasty caramel, fruit cake, raisin, wood, toffee and leather. The taste is smooth, toasty, bitter-sweet, caramel, light alcohol, leather, varnish, earth, mild spice and cocoa with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth, well rounded and quaffable. Very good.
