DPA has risen to become one of the most award-winning English-style pale ales in the world. Sporting a brilliant copper hue and an assertive floral hop aroma, DPA is known for its smooth, malty middle, which is expertly complemented with hearty and complex hop flavor. DPA’s extraordinary hop finish is marked by crisp yet moderate hop bitterness.

Probably one of the least impressive beers from GD - fizzy, clear, hardly any head - nose of hops, british malts, slight diacetyl/buttery character, a metallic tang - fairly clean flavor - earthy hops, a bit of spiciness from them - clean pale malts - some coppery flavor - the hops are quite nice, but the other elements of the beer are unremarkable.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Off-white head quickly recedes to skim surface leaving sheet lacing. Orange and grapefruit aromas. Crisp and dry with sweet oranges upfront and a lasting resin and grapefruit finish.

Pour is a orange with a small white head. Aroma is malts and grain and almost nothing in the way of hops. Flavor is first very much caramel malts and thena small amount of crisp pine hop hits you. Still this is nothing really great b/c any hop presence is dominated by malty-grainness that ends up a little sour.
