Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 13A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 107S. AROMA: DMS aroma present mixed with roasted notes. no hop aromas, no diacetyl and no esters. APPEARANCE: deep black brown color and opaque. moussy average brown head with fair retention. TASTE: moderate roasted flavours with a dry coffe-like finish. low bitterness. no hop flavours, no fruitness and no diacetyl. PALATE: low body with low carbonation. a bit watery. OVERALL: a dry stout that needs improvement on the palate and proper conditioning to minimise the presence of DMS.
