Bottle from O'Brien's, Athlone [011017] BBE 31/10
Orange, opaque, frothy white head, good lacing
Aroma - soft citrus fruits, sweet tropical fruits, soft tangerine, dab of grapefruit, good nose
Taste of citrus zest, grapefruit, orange, bitter zest hops, soft sweet fruity pale malt background, lots of flavour for abv
Palate - soft carb, medium body, good texture, quite creamy, bitter hops offset with soft sweet malts. Finish - slightly dry, bitter zest, creamy fairly sweet fruits, bitter linger
Overall - Good flavoured beer for abv, decent. Held up well considering close to best before end date. Did have a bottle a few months earlier, didn't rate it but was really good as I recall.
