Tap at Noord-Hollandse Bierfestival, Alkmaar: Dark brown colored brew with an sweet bitter taste, hints of roasted malts and chocolate. Could be drier of taste and better with those hints.

Bottled. A brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and roasted malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle@Yesprs - Dark brown to black pour with tan head. Aroma and taste comprises medium roasted malts, some chocolate, liquorice,herbal hoppy undertones, sweet medium toasty finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden brown with a small tan head. Aroma is herbal. Dry and dark malty. Fruity, toasted and dark malty. Banana fruity like. Bitter and light herbal finish.

On tap at Jopen Proeflokaal. Deep dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of cheap chocolate, maltose, some hard-roasted malts, dust, caramel, quite sweet. Flavour is weak, sweet, some roast, hint of coffee, dark fruits, chocolate, minerals. Light bodied, fizzy. Lacks body and balance. Didn’t like it.
