This big, roasty stout takes flavor to the extreme. We aren’t afraid to use plenty of rich roasted barley and a mountain of hops to give this full-bodied stout that little extra something you’ve been looking for in a beer.

Bottle. Pours inky black with large spongy tan head, mocha aroma, medium carbonation, bitter roasted barley taste, thin body, long bitter finish with burnt aftertaste. Very flavorful indeed, but a bit thin bodied for a good stout.

Bottle. Pours dark with a small tan head. Smells of coffee, chocolates, and a bit of grass. Taste is bready, coffee, dry cereal, and grass. Eh.

355 ml bottle. Dark, dark brown body, almost black with a small, dense brown head. Very nice aroma of dark malt, coffee, dark chocolate and dry fruit. Flavor is nice as well, sweet, smooth, mild roasted dark malt, toffee, dark chocolate, mild coffee, dry fruit and a pleasant level of bitterness. Fine body and nice aftertaste of sweet tasty malt and pleasant fruity bitterness. Classic American Stout.

Not sure why I’ve never rated this - oh well - I very much enjoy this stout and always forget that fact - it’s probably been a year since I’ve last had it - I am.drinking it now and reminded of what I enjoy - creamy texture - strong, but not overly bitter roastiness - some balancing vanilla and chocolate sweetness - light smokiness - finish of espresso - a nicely balanced and flavorful stout.

Roasted malt, tree bark, charred oak aroma. Black, medium tan head, abundant glass coating. Charred oak, very earthy, potting soil. Light body, soft carbonation. Well made, rustic, and enjoyable.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque black liquid. Small tan head disappears quickly. Rich roasted malt aroma. Sweet cocoa malt flavor. Notes of roasted nuts and resiny hops. Somewhat smooth and very flavorful. Finish is hoppy and cloying.
