33cl Bottle at ’t Arendsnest. Name stands for Black Pale Ale. Flavour-wise it’s a Schwarzbier. Clear deep reddish brown colour, slightly off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, light coffee, soft caramel, light floral notes. Flavour is light sweet, roasted malts, soft caramel, chocolate, slightly bitter roasted finish. Light bodied. A bit overcarbonated, but tasty.

Bottle at Arendsnest. Clear dark red brown beer with a big fluffy ivory tan head. Attractive - but hardly looks like a pale ale! Crisp dry palate. Crisp malt, slightly dark flavoured. A bare whsiper of cherry. Hop bitterness kicks in with a carbonated sting on the tail. Decent malty beer but I had to laugh at the Pale Ale label!
