32oz crowler pours with a crystal clear copper amber body that supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet rum, candied citrus hop fruitiness and then crystal malt nuanced oak and booze. The taste delivers smooth malty sweet crystal malts and then some boozy rum and oak. Towards midway a sweet candied hoppy citrus sensation intercedes and creates a pleasing drinkable balance to the barrel and somewhat booze forward flavor. Solid brew that's a little too barrel and booze forward but not by much. There's still enough balance to provide interest and repeated quaffing.

On tap. Pours a clear copper with light head. Aromas of sweet toasted malts. Flavors of toffee, fruit jelly, bread crust and light sweet rum. Nice but like a watered down brown shugga.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out caramel, light rum and a hint of vanilla. Flavour is boozy in a pleasant sense, with caramel, light rum and vanilla. Complex and well-balanced. Very good.

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of brown sugar and rum. Full bodied. Flavor is brown sugar and rum; maybe a little heat, but not much. Seems to have some pale stone fruit in a minimal way. Not at all dry, but the rum and heat balance the sweetness somewhat. Just excellent.
