Cask at the Cross keys, City. A clear orange amber coloured pour with fading halo of off white head. Aroma is subdued, nutty watery malts, low silage. Flavour is composed of nutty toasted malts, spicy Rye, leafy grassy hop, sileage. Some dried apple in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, watery, spicy. Decent condition.

14/10/2019. Cask at the Crosse Keys, City (Wetherspoon 40 year celebration festival). Pours clear pale gold with minimal head. Aroma of hops, citrus, malt, flowers and fruit biscuit. Moderate to medium sweetness and bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Subtle fruit finish. Light and refreshing, quite enjoyable.

Half pint at the Gate House JDW. Thin white head. Hazy golden pour. Light bitterness.

Cask at Merton Beer Festival Sept’ 04. Bronze colour, roasted and fruity flavours, hoppier tasting as you get through it and nice bitter finish.

Cask at The Golden Lion, Ipswich. Deep brown colour. Full malty flavour, prunes and forest fruits aroma, hints of English malt vinegar and HP Sauce in both aroma and flavour. Dusty finish. Nice.
