2014. I think this should have a seperate entry, because a whole other variety of hop was used than the 2013 version. Anyway, let’s get down to the aroma. It’s very fruity and earthy, has some Belgian funk, citrus, honey, yeast, malt, with some spicy and floral notes. Flavour is malty and fruity sweetness, some spices and hops. Not especially hoppy, rather subtle. Remarkably complex and well-balanced. This is really damned tasty. I’ll have to get my hands on a couple more.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe (2019 vintage - Styrian Wolf). Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon, sea salt and grated carrot. Flavour of minerals and salted lemon. Medium body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. Bright and refreshing.

2014 version at Hiranoya. Lots of hops, grassy, light citrus, good bite. Bit creamy further down. Refreshing. I like this. I can't describe it. Bit of the bon voeux sweetness about it, but still light and refreshing like the original SD is. Good stuff. Just had the 2012 version and it was amazing. Cherry elements, bit boozy. Score up!

BOTTLE 37,5 CL vintage 2014. Hazy golden, big fluffy head. The aroma is a marvelous mix of white baguette, fresh pale stone fruit (peaches, apricot), wild aromatic herbs. Light hints of boiled vegetables. The taste is not as dry, slightly honeyish actually, relatively thin and slightly bitter. Again, a slight hint of cooked corn. Good, but past it prime.

Bottleshare at Leighton’s Gaff. Thanks to LKS. Lightly hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Airy palate, fairly dry. Decent fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, very light, modest sweetness. Light floralness into pithy tangy citrus. Floral bitter finish. Fine.
