BBA Imperial Stout with maple syrup
Deep black with a thin wispy dark beige foam. Big maple and bourbon caramel aroma. Full soft body with a slightly scratchy mouthfeel.
The taste is totally sticky maple, caramel, burnt coffee and a bit of bourbon heat.
Very sweet, it’s not as nicely balanced as founders mackinac KBS but this has a nicer body.

Dåse fra Stoutshop. Den er sort med et lille beige skum. Dufter af ristet malt og ahornsirup. Den er sød og har en tør finnish.

(Can, 0.473 l, thanks tiong, at Arde, 20211008) The beer poured oily and black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, wood, vanilla, maple syrup and alcohols. Palate was full bodied and quite sticky with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, wood, maple syrup, vineousness, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, boozy and bitter. A pleasant and complex brew with too intense sweetness.
