Poured from the tap. Black with tan head. Fruity wood and bourbon dominate, but lacks enough of a chocolate or coffee base to blend it out and give it a nice body.

Shared bomber @ Beer-Ma Kanda, 2019 edition. Pours dark brown, some beige bubbles on the top. Nose is quite rich, spicy vanilla, booze and lots of coconut. Taste has booze, good bitterness, lots of coconut there as well, medium body with some Coca-Cola, sweet dried fruits, black plums. Decent in every way.

Pitch black color. Dark chocolate, tons of vanilla and oak. Slightly tarter than expected with a touch of caramel. Nice truffles, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, dark fruit on the palate. Slightly warming. A bit of an odd mouthfeel but overall good.
Damn easy drinking, bourbon brownies galore, thick and hella chocolate bourbon

Bottle at share, this year's batch. Oily black pour, almost no head. Looks like an oil slick. Sweet notes outweigh the roasty, but still has enough of the dark malt bitterness. Pretty solid.

Bourbon barrel aged. Aroma is barrel, bourbon, chocolate and malt. Very full flavour, malt, chocolate, syrup and bourbon. Long lasting finish with very little alcohol burn.

2019-07-02, draught at Darby's Gastown, Vancouver, 8-4-7-3-16=38
Black colour with small brown head. Nice aroma of chocolate, light spirit. Good body strength, roasty, just some light sweetness, dark chocolate, the alcohol is quite evident.
Very good.
2016-07-06, bottle from BCL, Park Royal, West Vancouver, 7-4-7-4-15=37
The color is near black, the head is brown and compact. The roasted malt in the aroma is nice, some bourbon, but there is a bit too much alcohol. Smooth mouthfeel, full bodied; medium sweetness, without being syrupy; dark caramel and malt flavor, some bourbon, some alcohol.
Good, but not worth the extreme price tag (~20$).

650ml bottle at Matt’s. Pours a very dark brown with a brown head. Aroma is bourbon notes, dark fruits, chocolate, grassy, woody, vanilla. Taste is bourbon, vanilla, saddle, roasted malt, licorice, boozy. Saddle, very sweet, bourbon vanilla aftertaste. Not enough body, but not bad though.

Dark brown. The aroma has a light bourbon note and a hint of fudge. It’s ok, a bit fruity, touch of tartness, and there is a little bourbon but also that fruity, tart note. Overall, this might not be as composed as I would like.
