Brigand is a strong blonde beer that is re-fermented in the bottle. The pale blonde colour is eye-catching thanks to the use of unmalted wheat, pale malt and pils malt. Brigand has a slightly malty taste with accents of spices and hops in the finish.

Brewed since 1980. 20° plato.

Draft at the Toronado. A fruity/spicey/candi aroma. Dark orange gold color with a filmy/lacey minimal white head. Full bodied. Creamy carbonation. Flavor is light malt with fresh light stone fruits, something pepper on the tongue, and perhaps cardamom. Not a dry finish, but far from sticky.

Draft. Golden/amber beer with a whitish head. Slight estery, light malt aroma. Light spice, estery, light malt flavor. Medium bodied. Light spice, malt, and light esters linger. The beer isn’t bad - everythign is there, but nothing steps forward. To style, but basic.

0.33L bottle. Dark gold colour, small stable head. Strong carbonation, just a little to strong. Aroma of honey wax and vanila. very dry in the mouth with some yeast and citrus notes. Aftertaste almost non existent but with a little touch of sweet and sourness, the feel stays dry and unpleasant for quite a while.

75 cL bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with a lacing white head. Spiced aroma with coriander and a lioght orange-ish note. Flavour is the same with a light acidic touch and a sharp edge from the spice and the carbonation. Doesn’t really have any smoothness but seems somewhat unrefined and almost brutal alcohol driven and carbonated. Ends warming and light spiced with a mild yeast note.

Bottle. Peach malt aroma initially but alcohol aroma overwhelms it quickly- slight hint of astringency. Medium amber with large white head. Super strong alcohol flavor up front - almost overwhelms the peach malt flavor in the middle and has a moderate astringent finish. Very rough - alcohol aroma and flavor overwhelms everything else.

Pours bright gold into a tulip. Fluffy white head recedes with no lacing to skim surface. Juicy fruit and alcohol aromas. Sharp with funky fruit and a slightly sour candi finish.

Pour is a bright golden with a large white head. Aroma is of yeast and citrus fruit. Flavor is some yeast and vanilla with a lot of carbonation. Aftertaste is a little barnyard and mustyness. An ok beer, nothing great but this should be one to try. I would consider this a lighter version of Duval.
