From bottle at Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Amazing red wine barrel Saison with an aroma of wood, Saison yeast, a bit sweet from the wine barrel, some dry funk as well. Body is medium. Sourish, beautiful balance, very excellent and gorgeous, prime stuff.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver, batch 230313, bottled July 2018, the front label says 2016
Hazy golden colour, compact head. Aroma of wood, cork, armpit, funk, wine. Lively mouthfeel, delicate and biscuity malt base, it has a good degree of aciddity, and strong wine character, yet well integrated.
Balanced, elegant and powerful.

Raiting #4999. 375ml from The Gull @ home shared with Alex (thx for the bottle, man!) and Andrey. Appearance: hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: funky, some peppery notes, quite a lot of wine barrel. Taste: along the same lines with lots of wine barrel, funk, some citric acid, a bit woody in the background. Overall: nice and balanced stuff, something in the middle of Belgian Saison and Lambic.

Bottle, 2016 according to the front label, batch no 230313 bottled July 2018. Color: Hazy yellowish golden, white head. Aroma: Saison and wild yeast, funky, floral, white wine. Taste: Combination of wild yeast funk and floral, herbal and lightly spicy Saison yeast. Slightly menthol. Moderate sweet and sour, light to moderate bitterness. Pretty strong wood, tannins, vinuous, dry mouthfeel. None of the flavours is overwhelming, no 'gadgets', 'just' a very well balanced, smooth 'Reserve Saison' with very nice complexity to fully enjoy slow sipping on a relaxed evening.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is wonderfully funky, with lots of wild yeast, woody oak, touch of vinous notes, and rustic saison yeast. Flavour follows just as impressively, with lots of woody oak, various wild critters, and rustic notes. The barrels and yeast are utilized beautifully. One of the best saisons I've had in a while, and one of the most impressive beers from down under.

375ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with average to huge, thick, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Funky yeasty, oaky, vinous fruity aroma, notes of white wine, serious funk, dust. Taste is dry, tart-ish, oaky, vinous, slightly funky, notes of white grapes, white wine, somehow a thin sour line of vinegar in between, hints of old wood, oak, slightly fresher hints of yellow stone fruit. Smooth and soft palate, soft carbonation. Quite dirty, complex, nicely refreshing tartness.

375 ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with moderate head. Aromas of oak, grapes, sharp leather, earthy yeast and soft toasted malts. Flavors follow same with more green oak and tangy fruit skins.
