The most refreshing dark beer you could ever imagine this side of Dublin! Low alcohol and roasted barley keep it clean and flavorful. The subtle earthiness of European hops harmonize with the roasted barley to offer a whiff of peat. Served with the classic nitrogen pour, Donnybrook delivers an impressive head and silken body of a classic stout.

19.06.2013, tap @ The Ginger Man NY:
Big creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly roasted, dark malts, coffee, nuts, caramel, chocolate, grass. Taste is slightly watery, roasted grain, dark sugar, roasted nuts, coffee, chocolate, caramel. Little bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice one being this low ABV.

tap at Black Acre brewpub last fall - Nitro tap. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. It has a mild roast malt aroma. The dark roast malt flavor is on the watery side. It’s medium bodied and an okay beer, but far less than impressive. Victory can do better.

Nitro tap at Three Fires. Coffee, chocolate, earthy/peaty aroma. Deep mahogany with a creamy tan nitro head. Light roasted coffee, earthy/dirt, and subtle spruce flavor with a light spicy finish. Light creamy body. Really great flavor for 3.7%. I was a little surprised at this one.

Nitro at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours a 2 layer 4 finger head. The dark tan bottom coalesces into a creamy tan beige top. Can almost write in it. Aroma is pretty much like Guinness with a bit more chocolate than G. Med minus body. Flavor mostly of dark malt - burnt, and a little ashy/gritty. A little dark chocolate liners into the finish. Which is a bit more bitter than sweet. With time chocolate seems stronger. Pretty nice take on a stout.
