The most refreshing dark beer you could ever imagine this side of Dublin! Low alcohol and roasted barley keep it clean and flavorful. The subtle earthiness of European hops harmonize with the roasted barley to offer a whiff of peat. Served with the classic nitrogen pour, Donnybrook delivers an impressive head and silken body of a classic stout.

Sample at World Of Beer. Pours brownish-black with a medium tan head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted and a bit of chocolate. Light body with a sweet roast character and notes of chocolate malt and grain. The finish is short with a malt aftertaste. Pretty forgettable beer all in all.

Dark brown color, steady creamy beige head. Toasted aroma with tobacco and some citrusy notes. Light to medium-bodied. Flavor has toastyness and light earthy notes. Watery finish. Disappointment from Victory.

Draft @ Novare Res Bier Café, Portland, ME. Served in a Donnybrook, English Pint glass. Great thick, full head tons of lace. Nose of coffee grounds and light roasted malt. Smooth and dry in the mouth, the hop bite is mild. Decent background of coffee and chocolate. A thinner body, It’s not going to surprise you, nothing amazing. BUT, it is a solid example of a dry Irish stout. Well made from the boys in Pennsylvania.

On nitro tap. Pours with a near black body with a nice looking creamy to milky, tan nitro head. Aromas are bready, smokey, roasty with hints of coffee. Light floral hops. Flavors are watery, tobacco, nuts, tea, coffee grounds and leather. Somewhat more assertive mouthfeel than some nitro taps but still feels a bit watery.

Sam Adams Lager glass pour at Jet Rock in the Philadelphia Airport. Pour is nitro, opaque black brown, with a creamy one inch white head that has perfect retention. Aroma is roast malt, along with a vanilla sweetness, and a touch of pine. Taste is roast up front, dry, moving to a bitter chocolate near the end. Very crisp finish. Palate is light bodied, nitro silky, with the crisp and clean finish. Well constructed stout.
