The Bons Vœux is a blond top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Since 1970, the brewery has been brewing a special beer to give as a new years present to their best clients. (the name of this beer “Avec les bons Vœux de la brasserie Dupont » means « With the best wishes of the brewery Dupont » ).
Because of the increasing success, they started to commercialise this “cadeau” but kept the name. Although the demands were considerable, only a small quantity was brewed, so they had to make a reservation list, even months before new year.
This Bons Vœux is coppery blond, has very fine hoparomas and tastes bitter, fruity and mild.
Our selection of yeasts, in combination with a longduring riping process, on a “dry hopping” base, are creating a typical and complex aroma and taste.
A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result in a harmonious and well-balanced beer, full of unexpected and complex aromas.

Gekregen op 13-06-2020 van mijn zoon en familie voor mijn vaderkensdag. Gekocht in De Bierhalle te Melle. En thuis geproefd op 25-07-2020.
Bons Voeux wordt gebrouwen bij brasserie Dupont te Tourpes.
Vanaf 1970, werd bij het begin van elk jaar, dit bier als geschenk aangeboden aan de beste klanten. (vandaar de naam: Avec les bons voeux de la brasserie Dupont).
BONS VOEUX is een goud geel en helder biertje dat veel wit schuim produceert in een moussige vorm met wat grovere bellen tussen. Het blijft sterk aan het glas kleven en je ziet een gemiddelde CO2 verzadiging met fijne belletjes. Op de bodem van het flesje blijft nog een beetje gistdepot achter. Na een tijd is het schuim verworden tot een moussig laagje van zo’n 1 tot 5 mm.
HET AROMA:
Zoetig, hopbitter, citrus, mout, koriander en een alcoholtoets
DE SMAAK:
Zoetig, hopbitter, wat citrus, mout, grassig, koriander en een alcoholtoets.
HET MONDGEVOEL:
Medium body en medium tot platte koolzuurgas prikkeling.
DE NASMAAK:
Het hopbittere vloeit lang uit en heeft een bijna wrange slechte smaak, citrus, mout, grassig, koriander en een alcoholtoets.
HET TOTAALGEVOEL:
Een verwarmend tot complex biertje.
HET VERDICT:
Dit bier komt in een fles van 37,5 cc. Het laatste dat je smaakt is een lichte bittere wrangheid, tesamen met een slechtere smaak. Een storende slechte smaak, ik zou dit niet als cadeau geven, dit bier haalt het gemiddelde niet. Foto's en verdere info te vinden op:

Bottle bought from Beers of Europe and drunk at home. Pours peach/gold and hazy with a small white head. Caramel, bready yeast, light vinous notes, a touch of funk. Sweet taste with spicy yeast and stone fruit flavours, leading to a balanced finish with a boozy warmth going down. Medium to heavy carbonation.

10K pan Grzegorz! A przy okazji nawet niezle, bo utlenione wchuj, ale ma smak, nieco piwniczny, nieco jakis przejrzaloowocowy, nieco przyprawowy, mocno miodowe... wrazenia z aromatu kegaslodkie. Z usta: slodkie. Nieco ziemiste.

On tap at Small Bar, Bristol. Pours opaque yellow orange golden with an off white head. The aroma is citrus, spicy, yeasty, very typically Belgian. Taste is light to moderate sweet & bitter, malty, creamy, plenty of funk. Medium body, average to full carbonation, dry-ish spicy finish. Classic

Unmarked bottle picked up in 18 sometime during the Belgium trip. Best before 2022. Amber with a foamy head that lingers. Aroma of white wine, apricot, yeasty white bread, oak, and vinegar. Taste is medium bitter with a light tartness. A yeasty and bready sweetness underneath lends further depth. Finishes dry, full of earth, old boards and touched with raw, grainy notes. Note the most elegant exit but this is still a nice one. Medium bodied with prickly carbonation. Nice!
