16 oz. draft. Slightly hazy yellow appearance. Aroma and flavor are a mirror. Mild citrus, earthy, floral bitterness with moderate strength. Pretty good balance. Overall, average for my tastes. Made well enough.

Can from AEON Liquors, Jiyugaoka. Pours nice clear and deep golden. Some foam at first but comes down in a few minutes. Nose is crisp and aggressively resiny-hoppy. Bitterness is totally ruling the flavor sensations, basically feels as if you are chewing some bitter medicine, not a beer. Still quite enjoyable - but you have got to like hops to say that. Light medicinal bitter linger in the finish.

This is a decent IPA but not one of my favorite Heroes. Aroma is very good with grass hops caramel malt and a little Pine resin. Flavor is somewhat like nose more bitter than sweet but less complex and with a soft dry finish.

Can. Cloudy golden/orange body. Frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruits, toasted grain. The flavor moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Shot of sweet orange taste swept off the tongue by the bitterness. Balanced and tasty.

12 ounce can. Bright brassy gold color topped by a firm bubbly white head. Fragrant hop aroma of passionfruit and citrus. Big bitter hops right out of the gate. Some biscuity malt, but the hops dominate here. Dank citrus, pineapple and pine combine to provide a biting lupilin finish.

12oz can. Filtered tan body. Thin off-white head. Pleasant soft pink grapefruit tones, a little more resinous, bitter backbone from the Zythos. A pretty solid modern beer in a lot of respects, but not that impressive of an aroma. Mildly juicy, enjoyable beer.
