Bottle from Bier Koning. Hazy brown beer, good but short lived cream coloured head. Light airy palate. Softish and semi dry. Even malt, trace of hop bitterness. Drinkable but somewhat dull Dubbel.

Bottle at home. Clear, light brown pou wth a soft, creamy head. Sugary malt nose, hints of candi and caramel. The flavor isn’t exactly bland, but it isn’t very exciting, either. Bit of caramel, candi sugar, rich bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Faint warmth on the finish, mild sugar. Pretty drinkable but lacks cajones.

Bottle. It pours an almost clear, amber colored body under a small, off-white head. Fruity nose with both dried and fresh fruits., as well as some caramel sweetness. Sweet and malty flavor with some caramel and roasted malts. Medium to full body. The finish has some bitterness in addition to the initial flavors, giving it a bit more complexity. Still, nothing more than a decent beer. 090619

Good, dense cream head over darker brown beer, with a foxy-amber shine. Greenery, leaves, sweet with coloured malts wafting. Watery malt & chocolate substitute. Warming up getting sweeter, of course. Watery, end of tongue gets oily & syrupy. Dull, dull beer, but no faults. Big thanks to CK!

30 cL bottle. Pours hazy deep brown with a small off-white head. Mild yeasty and roasted malt aroma, light fruity touch. Flavour is classic dubbel like with yeasty fruit esters and roasted malt. Light metallic touch into a rather malty finish. Lingering fruity tpouch into the far finish.
