The 3-Grid IPA is our flagship ale. This India Pale Ale’s citrus notes are created by Chinook, Cascade, Columbus and Amarillo hops from Yakima Valley, making it a true Northwest-style crowd pleaser. The alchemists at Schooner EXACT balance the hoppiness with a hint of malt, making this IPA one that pleases the staunchest of hopheads as well as the microbrew newbie.

Nonic shaped smaller pint glass at Beveridge Place Pub in West Seattle, Washington. Pour hazed orange golden. Nice white head. Good lacing. Fresh pine citrus nose. Biscuit malt behind that. Taste is rounded orange citrus sweetness, floral, a little mineral earthiness and slight bitter pine, balanced with the rounded biscuit malt. Freshness and smoothness just pops out. Taste flattens out a bit as it warms, giving way to the mineral and gypsum. Palate medium, though refreshing snd dry too. Really nice.

Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Malty hoppy piney aroma with some hints of caramel. Sweetish malty hoppy piney and grapefruit flavor. Malty hoppy bitter finish with hints of citrus in the aftertaste.

Ah yes, the "old style" IPA, where the brewers aren’t trying to outdo everyone else, say "My beer is bigger than your beer" Orange amber, small beige head.Clean citrus nose.Nice rich malt start with lasting citrus/bitter hop finish. Perfectly balanced A classic IPA, the way it should be

Hazy amber with a thin head. Herbal, woody c-hop action on the nose with maybe some amarillo as well. A little bit watery but burly woody bitterness. Decent IPA.
