Sample from jerrycan at Carnivale Brettanomyces 2025, h.ertie blending workshop. Didn't take many notes, just enjoyed good beers and good company. What I do remember: 3 months old. Hazy. Malty, light tartness, some (yeasty?) bitterness. Dry. Definitely needs more time.

Tasted as part of the gueuze tasting, led by H.ertie. From a cask of sorts. Brewed in May. Quite sour, with some bitterness in it. Easy to drink, but not very tasty for a lambic. Totally missing any complexity. Would work well on a hot summer day.

From a 10 litre plastic ton, bought at the brewery. Vinous, honey, grapes, mandarin and cherries in both aroma and flavor. Honey and cherry in the aftertaste, combined with lemon and wood. Perfect mix of drinkability and complexity. Will no doubt further gain in depth and complexity, now there are still some rough edges. I wish this would be the house beer of my local... @Grote Dorst in Eizeringen. March 2012. Golden color. Yoghurt and citrusfruit in the aroma. Mango. Milk, butter and bitter walnuts in the flavor. Very oaky. Vanilla, honey, mango, pineapple. Amazingly complex, but the bitterness was not really pleasant in this sample.

Sample shared at 3F thanks to Ratebeer crew. Murky yellow golden with white head. Light apple, yeast, soft funk, herbs, dough. A bit like a bad cider. Quite herbal and a bit more bitterness than expected. Almost medium bodied with no carbonation. This is very young and it shows. Not terrible but this really needs more time. Way too raw yeasty.

24-03-18 // taster at Craft Frankfurt 2018. From bag-in-box. About 9 months old. This is in the change between young and old but compared to other old lambik I would still consider it young. Hazy dark golden orange, minimal bubbly head. Aromas of green apples, tart and dry farmhouse, some sweet malts. Simply good. --- Beer merged from original tick of Unblended Jonge Lambik on 24 Mar 2018 at 16:25 - Score: 8. Original review text: Lamic is life 😍 from Bag in a box.
