Sample from jerrycan at Carnivale Brettanomyces 2025, John Versyck blending workshop. Didn't take many notes, just enjoyed good beers and good company. What I do remember: 1 year old. Fruity, refreshing, tartness, lactic acid, grainy hints.

1 year old. Tasted as part of the 101% gueuze tasting led by Raf. After the Bokke blend my personal preference. Very citrussy sourness, hardly any funk, no bitterness to speak of. Light, clean and easy.

Straight from barrel @ the brewery. Lambic dated 04-11-11. Golden color. Oak and lemon in the aroma. Quite sour flavor. lemon, oak, "spritzig". Very complex, great lambic. I didn’t know that De Troch could be that good! Also tasted young lambics from march, april and may 2012. Still very much in the bud, but showing promise. Lamci from dec ’12, tasted 8/13 straight from the barrel: Incredible grapefruit aroma and flavor. oak clearly noticeable. Desperately sour. Incredible! (10 4 9 4 18 = 4.5)

From the barrel at the brewery, 12 months old. Golden with no head. Funky aroma with phenols and acetone. Dry and tart flavour with grain, hay and funk. Decently rounded for a jonge lambic.

7/V/17 - from cask in a plastic cup @ the brewery (Toer de Geuze) - BB: n/a (2017-585)
Clear pale orange to blond beer, small irregular white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. aroma: very fruity, peaches, little cheesy, funky, grains, bit malty. MF: no carbon, medium body, bit viscous, very oily texture. Taste: pretty bitter start, lemony, lemon zest, lime, vinous touch, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: wood tannins, bit lemony, still bitter, astringent, lemon zest. Quite enjoyable although I don't like the bitterness in it.

Bag in Box @ Muted Horn Berlin. Pours with hazy, light amber color and a very tiny white head. The nose is strange, I cant describe...(tahts what others means with cheesy), some green fruits. The taste is sour, green fruits as well, some lemon and some sweet. Almost no carbonation.
