0.33 l bottle from 'craftbeerstore.de', best before April 2019, cellared for almost three years. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly sourish-funky, moderately roasty, slightly fruity and a little smoky aroma of dark chocolate, mocca, hazelnut, red grapes, oak, some peat and a touch of sherry. Moderately sweet, slightly roasty-bitter, a bit sourish-funky, moderately fruity and a little smoky taste of dark chocolate, mocca, lots of oak, balsamic vinegar, red grapes, hazelnut, some peat and a touch of sherry, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly tart, rather woody-dry and a bit funky finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. What a beer from a brewery which was still pretty young back then, why did they stop brewing this kind of stuff? It's fairly complex, wonderfully balanced and still pretty intense. It's a really awesome mix of flavours which match fantastically, very impressive!

Bottle 330ml. [ As CREW Republic X 3.0 Sour Black ].Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, sour, roasted, dark malt, tart, soy sauce. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate acidic with a long duration, sour, dark malt, soy sauce, bread. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170929] 6-4-7-3-14

Bottle. Very dark brown with tiny head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, soy, lemon and dark fruit. Flavour is roasted malt, caramel, soy, lemon, little sour, wood, oak, little smoke, citric, warming and dark fruit.

Nice brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish, dark malts, oak, sorrel, sour dark fruits, soda powder, dark sugar, hints of thinner and mild vinegar. Taste is slightly sour-ish dry, sorrel, oak, dark malts, grass, sour dark fruits, dark sugar, mild vinegar, caramel. Medium bitterness, slightly sour-ish dry mouthfeel. Nice enough, kind of interesting.

bottle. Deep brown, almost black, small off-white head. Sourish fruity nose. Roasted malts, some chocolate and coffe, combined with blackcurrand, blackberries and redcurrant. Unusual, but interesting.
