Pumpkin Patch Ale is made with whole pumpkins that we chop up and roast by hand. The hand roast allows us to caramelize the natural sugars exactly as we like, which when combined with a delicate balance of spices creates the signature flavor of our classic fall-themed brew. We know you’ll appreciate the effort when you taste the difference roasting real pumpkins makes.

Ingredients:
Pumpkins, 2-row, Munich, Carafa II, Crystal Wheat, Orange Peel, Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom, Vanilla, Ginger, Nutmeg, Sterling hops, Pacman yeast, water

Bottle. Roasted pumpkin malt, nutmeg/pumpkin spices aroma. Hazy deep amber with a large off-white head. Malty roasty pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove flavor. I liked this combination of malty and spicy. Medium body and carbonation. One of the better pumpkin ales I’ve tried so far.

Pour is a murky brown with a large white head. Aroma is wonderful. Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin. Flavor is less so. Some spices show up, no real pumpkin and finishes kinda watery. This is one of those beers that smell so good but what happened to the flavor? Finish is cloying malts and there is no spice felt after the swallow.

Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a bottle. The beer is a dark copper-amber color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of pumpkin spices and malt. Medium body with flavors of nutmeg, malt and pumpkin. The finish is sweet with a spiced aftertaste. Decent overall.

If only it tasted as good as it smelled. Still a very good brew in my book.

Pours a hazy brown with a creamy, long lasting off-white head. Sweet aroma of pumpkin pie spice and fresh pumpkins. The flavor is sweet, but not overly so. Light spices are balanced nicely. Good body. Better than many I’ve had.

Bottle @ home during my #5,000 tick fest, picked up at Wilburs Foco. Pours a bit hazy, dark reddish orange appearance with a cream colored head. Pretty spicy, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, light caramel nose. Pretty rich, cinnamon, mild caramel, toasted pumpkin, vanilla, rich nutmeg flavor. Pretty tasty.

Tap at Rogue Public House - lightly hazy amber - nose of earthy roasted pumpkin, nutmeg, toasty maltiness - flavor is medium dry toasted malt, moderate roasted pumpkin, very mild spice - a little vegetal in the finish - very light lingering cinnamon - decent.

Bottle from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours very hazy dark amber with a foamy creamy beige head. Aroma is very pie spice - maybe some ginger? Near med body. There’s some malt, but it gets overwhelmed by the spices. Seems somewhat gingery. Goes slightly watery in the finish. Think it could use a higher ABV. I don’t know what it is now, but I think an increase would smooth it out. Pretty good pumpkin ale. There are many less tasty.
