Our Bärentöter is a strong crossover between Gose and Bock. This harmoniously complex beer is produced using an opulent mixture of six special malts with additions of coriander, orange peel salt, and a touch of cinnamon. A lactic acid fermentation is complemented by saltiness and malt body to create a perfectly balanced beer. On this basis fine fruit and spice aromas can unfold, making this Gose Bock something very special.

Bottle. Clear amber color with tan head. Aroma is flowery, slightly salty, chocolaty. Taste is herbal, slightly medicinal, salty and flowery again, some coriander. Slightly tart, a bit medicinal finish. Very nice and interesting!

Bottle from Rudat. Intense voluminous beginning. Great sourish-salty smooth malty aroma, very fruity. The beer is easy to drink with a nice sourish fruity body. No bitterness, only hints of grain. Fantastic deep fruity sourish beer! Fantastic!

Gelungen säuerlicher Beginn, in dem die Salzigkeit einengroßen Anteil einnimmt. Sehr süffig, der erhöhte Alkoholgehalt hilft bei der Vollmundigkeit. Nuancen von Kräutern, etwas Orange, die Säure bleibt konstant, wandert angesichts der anderen Aromen aber in den Hintergrund. Gut! 11/11/13/12/12/12

On tap @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Pours deep amber with a medium white head. Aroma of malt, herbs, spices, citric notes, some off-flavours (ripe cheese). Flavour is rich and complex, salty and sour with a good malt profile. Medium body, medium to light carbonation. A bit rough, but interesting.

Drucken på fat på Malmö Brygghus. Bärnstensfärgad, gnaska klar med lågt skum. Massor av honung i både doft och smak men också rejält syrlig. Riktigt bra balans. Lätt sälta, syrliga bär, sötsyrliga russin, lite jordig och riktigt fina honungsnyanser. Mycker gott.

I was very lucky I got this beer at Heiloo Getränkemarkt in Leipzig before its sold out. Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass brownish, nice small head. Wonderful aroma, salty, sourish, spicy. Starts wonderful with sourish-spicy notes, some herbs, light salty, hints of coriander. Fruity notes of lemon and not ripe apricots. Finish light moldy-sourish, modest grasy, malty, some earthy hints. Well balanced. I love that aroma, I love that taste, I love that beer. Awesome!
