Tap at Edo. Dark red brown colour, small golden head. Aroma is basil, roasty malt, bit of chocolate, some creaminess. Can't quite get the spice. Nutmeg? Taste is roasty again, spiciness quite prominent, can't place it but it is quite original. Nice roasty finish. I like it. Quite full bodied.

Draught at Tadg’s. Huge spice nose, chocolate, fruit, cloves. Slightly sweet, spicy flaovr, chocolate, light fruit, very spicy. Cloves and maybe cinnamon? Dry finish that is a bit astringent from the spices. Not really balanced.

A bottle from Asahiya, a nice looking dark beer with cloves & coriander. A smokey aroma with chocolate/coffee followed by the spicy herbs. It had a really nice mouthfeel and was pleasent to drink. I’d definitely have this again! This beer starts with the malts and ends with the spices. I like North Island’s Coriander Black a bit better but this is a really nice spicy dark beer~!
