Bottle, courtesy of DerA. Pours darkest brown. Aroma is vanilla, scotch, barrel. Body is heavy, sweet and softly boozy, low carbonation, smooth and creamy, nicely bitter. Very pleasant and complex. Great!

Bottle #2602/5040. The beer is a dark brown color with a thin beige head that dissipates quickly to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Malty aroma with caramel and fruit notes. Medium to full body with flavors of caramel malt, candied fruit, brown sugar and a bit of hops. The finish is sweet with a fruit and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle, 22oz. #4196/5040. It’s a hazy dark brown beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head. Some lacing. The aroma is lightly roasted and dried fruity. Prunes, dark sugar, some spiced, woody hints of cocoa. Some piney hops lurking in the back. Some molasses and rum hints. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming and smooth on the palate, with a very nice bitterness level. Dried fruits, some cocoa and a spiced touch in the flavor. Lasting sweetish and bitter finish with dried fruits and a spiced, woody hint. A very pleasant and tasteful beer that I could drink on a regular basis. Sure a beer that feels like Alesmith has been involved. 170604

29.12.2016, 0,65l bottle (#1502/5040) shared with friends @ home:
Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet and fresh fruity, raisins, minerals, grass, caramel malts, prunes, fruit stones, weeds, "knekk". Taste is slightly dry fruity, raisins, fruit stones, weeds, grass, bark, minerals, burnt caramel, dark sugar, paper. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh and burnt mouthfeel. Fair enough, probably needs some time in the cellar.
