Bottled. Reddish brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is dried fruits, some honey, liquorice, some caramel and mild toasted notes. Flavour is rather similar with some slight tartness and mild alcohol to it.

Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle @ Assentoft tasting. Nice creamy head with excellent duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are candy sugar, caramel, fruits, yeast, malt and hops. Sweet finish.

Really nice old ale, a very nice beer to just sip and sip. Not really outstanding in complexity in my opinion, this beer stands out as simple but well done. Strong malt flavours (dark malts mostly), with caramel, raisins, chocolate, some coffee. Nice!

0,66l bottle at Sebilinzs place shared by Sebilinz, big thanks. black color, small off-head. smells spices, ripe fruits, plums, soy sauce, dried fruits, cocoa, nutty, marzipan, light booze. very nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, soy sauce, spices, peppery, some sherry, bit nutty. finishes lightly dry with notes of soy sauce, sherry and peppery notes. pretty decent. taste is quite strong on the soy notes though. good stuff overall still............

Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Dark, chestnut brown. Slimmest head. Nose has caramel truffle. Fruity chocolate. Prune and date. Fudge. Touch of worn leather. Taste is mostly sweet and chocolatey, with a light, roasted, slightly tart bitterness. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Drinks well under the ABV. Tart and vinous bitterness to finish. Nice one.
