Human history is filled with myths and legends that shape and define our culture. Rituals, celebrations, gatherings.. whatever. One thing that’s for sure, is we enjoy a proper shindig. So let’s get the stories flowing and share a little ’Folklore’. A bracingly deep ale, built dark and rich with an elegantly lean body, accompanied by heady aromas of Belgian yeast, earthy hops and gently kissed by a wisp of smoke.

0.355l bottle. It has a deep and dark brown pour this one and only a small kinda dark grey / beige head. It has both dark fruit sweetness and roasted tones on the nose. Kinda sweetish at first. Gets darker and more roasted after a while in the glass. Some chocolate and traces of coffee. Dark chocolate biscuits. Smells nice. It has a nice roasted taste with a fair amount of dark berries and candied sugar sweetness. The dark kind. It has a oily feeling in the mouth and it's about average on the small prickling bubbles. Definitely not extreme roasted, but it has some darkness. Sweetish with a little alco burn in the aftertaste. It's not anything special going on here, but it's a well crafted beer that I'd have no problems drinking again. A bit sweet though? Nah, it's definitely a nice one this . 08.06.2014

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 20 Aug 2014) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of creamy chocolate, coffee and blueberries. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, blueberries, cacao and a creamy finish with a generous cacao bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain malt sweetness. Chocolatey, tasty and well balanced. Very nice.

Tap at CBC 2014. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Starts fine spicy, hoppy background, well balanced. Finish again milder, soft-malty. Malty-dry aftertaste. Okay.
