Belgian-style farmhouse saison
Inspired by the traditional rustic brews of Belgium, our iconic American farmhouse saison is charmingly complex but eminently drinkable.
Artfully spiced with coriander, ginger, orange peel and grains of paradise, its champagne-like effervescence leads to a crisp, dry finish, delighting discerning drinkers everywhere.
While delicious on its own, Hennepin pairs remarkably well with a variety of foods, complementing shellfish, barbecue, cheeses, charcuterie, and a wide range of spicy fare.

What can I say - I love this beer, one of the better values in NYC that is consistently available (and not skunked or otherwise spoiled) at your local supermarket. Pours golden orange, Complex taste and nice aroma, but not too heavy. A great buy for 6-7$ per .75 and drinkable as hell.

Light hops, very little funk, some light pepperiness, and a low carbonation. Again this ommegang beer has an odd metallic flavor that is dominating the finish, and adding an over the top bitterness. The beer was still refreshing, and bright, but the metal was odd.

Pours hazy gold with a huge white head. Aroma of spice and orange. Taste has heavy ferrous elements, as well as dark earthy notes and a hint of coriander. Palate has herbal elements and continued Belgian wheat influences, lots of alcohol apparent. Good, heavy.

6 October 2018. At Modeste Bierfestival, Antwerp. Cheers to Anke & Elke!
Hazy ochre/orange with a lasting, small, unstable, foamy, white head; little lacing. Aroma of ginger, white pepper, yeast, yellow apple, apricot, orange zest, breadcrust, wheat. Taste is light fruit sweet, apple & apricot, also providing a sourish wheaty touch; light to medium spicy bitterness hints at ginger & pepper; malty bready back. Dryish, peppery hoppy finish, spicy, yeasty, lingering wheat. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Good, really apparent ginger, but balanced.
