Each year, we partner with a different German brewer to explore the roots of Germany’s famous Oktoberfest beers. This year, we’re collaborating with Germany’s Brauhaus Faust in Miltenberg, whose approach to the classic style we’ve long admired. The result is a festival beer true to their style—deep golden in color with deceptively rich malt flavor and balanced by traditional German-grown whole-cone hops.

Dark golden with a white head - Malty aroma - Malt body with hints of caramel and a nice hop bitterness to balance - The malt and gentle hop bitterness goes into the finish - This was nice

Bottle. Deep gold body, thin off-white head. Grassy, biscuity nose with hints of light fruit. Strong biscuity, cerealy character, light sweetness, firm but moderate bitterness, and nothing heavy or syrupy. A nice well-balanced, relatively dry Oktoberfest sharply contrasting with many of the heavier American versions.

12 oz bottle into a La Chouffe stemmed tulip on 31st Dec 2017 during a long and hard New Years Eve tasting session with myself at my daughters in California. Amber/orange body, weak white crown. Malty start and finish to this O'fest beer, light bitterness towards the end of each sip, otherwise it's a semi-sweet brew with a lot more malts than hops in the kettle.

OK, its a bottle with the label pictured. Mild perfume sweet aroma. Surprised I haven't had a S/N fest before. Pours a richer looking pale to the eye. Taste is strongish malt medicine with a tad of sweet spice on the end. Acceptable beefy alky brew.

Bottle. Pours clear, bit darker blonde. medium-low sized head, rather stable. Smell is bit weak, mild sweetness, tad grainy ( white bread). taste is sweet, bitter ( not overly so ) , some green, grassy aspects of the hops, very mild fruityness. The beer, regardless of the low abv, does have a bite to it. Very nice beer !
