Dead Ringer Oktoberfest lager is inspired by old-style Mãrzen brews customarily enjoyed during Bavaria's world-famous beer festival. Thanks to it's abundance of toasted malt and a lower hop bitterness, this dark reddish brown lager is loaded with sweet, caramel toffee flavors and aromas. All the taste and celebration of Oktoberfest packed into one bottle; no lederhosen required.

Draft. Quinine, caramel malt, and hay aroma. Amber with giant head. Mildly sweet toffee malt and moderately bitter earthy quinine/hay flavor. Okay body. Kind of harsh for an Oktoberfest.

Bottle shared at BDSB - London. Pours clear amber with a creamy, khaki head. Toasted bread in the nose, hints of cereal, brown sugar. Medium sweet flavor with notes of toffee, toasty bread, dried berries. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with crispy cereal, dry caramel, slight bitter earth. Tasty festbier.

Bottle at BD Sheps Bush. It pours clear dark copper with a small white head. The nose is earthy, brown bread, toasted grain, cereal, light spice and dull sweetness. The taste is firmly bitter, brown bread, cakey, toasted grain, spice, cereal, nut and light alcohol hit with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. A simple malty affair. Fine, but far from exciting.

Pours a reddish-copper with little to no head. Aroma is very grassy. Flavor is also quite grassy, with some malt underneath. Not terrible.
