12 ounce can into pint glass, best before 4/16/2019. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky khaki head with awesome retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, cream, nuts, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, cocoa, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, cream, nuts, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy/spicy hop, and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, cream, nuts, toasted dark/brown bread, light smoke/char, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, cocoa, and light earthy hop flavors; with a solid hop/roast bitter/sweet balance, and no cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Lightly inreasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 6.1%. Overall this is an incredible English milk stout! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, cocoa, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Amazingly rich mouthfeel for the ABV. Very rich and well rounded malt complexity, with balanced lactose/cocoa nib flavors; and mild earthy hops against sweetness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example. Best I've had for not being imperial.

(Bottle) Black colour with dense, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, sweet liquorice, black rye bread, toffee, raisins and some coffee. Malty, roasted taste with notes of milky chocolate, liquorice, coffee, raisins, black rye bread and a sweetish finish with a mild cacao bitterness. Medium body, quite sweet. Tasty, but a bit one-dimensional and a touch too sweet. Quite nice.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a syrupy, deep brown with a finger of beige foam that dissipates quickly. Big yoo hoo nose with whoppers, milk shake notes. When cold there are some strange copper penny notes on the palate but as it warms this goes away. Smooth on the palate, lots of cocoa powder. Lots of yoo-hoo flavor and a lingering hershey's syrup finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout on 29 Oct 2017 at 19:30 - Score: 7. Original review text: Big yoo hoo nose with whoppers, milk shake notes. Smooth on the palate, more cocoa powder. Some weird copper penny notes at first.

Keg at Willards Tap House, Largo, Florida. Dark brown, opaque. A little bit of cream-coloured head with lots of lacing. Light aroma: Ovaltine and milky instant coffee. Sweet and creamy taste with notes of grape juice and Yoo-hoo (and the name just dawns on me). Later on bitter hop invades to temper the taste. Clean crisp finish which accentuates the sharp hop. Milk with star anise in the aftertaste. Enjoyable milk stout.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Poured black color with a thin brown head. Nice milk chocolate, cocoa drink aroma, like the kind I used to drink as a kid. Add some roastedness, oatmeal and sweetness. Long sweet finish with cocoa powder. Nice, but borderline too sweet.
