Evoking a complete diner-style breakfast in a glass, Maple Bacon Coffee Porter is a complex beer with a multitude of flavors at play. It pours an opaque ebony brew with a frothy tan head. Aromas of sticky maple syrup, coffee, and cream creep forth from the glass. The mouth feel is luxuriously creamy, with layers of sweet malt, toffee, and roast giving way to waves of smoke, coffee, and salted chocolate. It finishes sticky, rich, and sweet, with the flavor of maple syrup lingering pleasantly on the tongue.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Dark brown with small beige head. Maple forward (without being overpowering), mild coffee and a very very feint smokey saltiness. At 6.4%, this is very flavourful. Not too heavy, not too cloying, good balance, great stuff.

12 ounce bottle. Rating number 5,900! Opaque brown color. Creamy tan head. Big roasted malt aroma has notes of maple and bacon. Sweet roasted malt flavor upfront. Nutty, maple syrup notes. Bacony, smoky mid taste. Sticky mouthfeel. Hints of cocoa and coffee in finish. Interesting.

Very dark brown coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall rich brown head that stays afloat nicely on top of a 80 per cent opaque brown body. Aroma of super pungent fresh real maple syrup, a lot of coffee notes and some small pork brine (bacon?) notes and a good deal of roasted malts of course, as well. Medium-bodied; Rich coffee and grainy notes shows at first with a lot of coffee notes and a touch of chocolate with some subdued smoked pork notes that show a bit of an artificial bite with a light sweetness at the end and a molasses and burnt sugar finish. Aftertaste is rich and complex from the flavours, but the malts don’t add too much of a completeness, with a thinnish feeling, especially at the end, that don’t seem to support all the flavours here. Overall, a decent enough beer with some big coffee and maple flavours, but the pork/bacon and malt aspects make this a bit underwhelming. Decent, but not worth spending a premium on this one, like I did. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from ABC Fine Wine & Spirits in Bonita Springs, Florida on 02-May-2022 US$6,36, sampled a day later at my hotel room here in Bonita Springs, Florida on 03-May-2022.

Bottle shared by cgarvieuk. Appearance - deep black with a fawn head. Nose - syrup and chocolate mainly. A hint of coffee but looks like the bacon aspect has faded. Taste - again syrup and chocolate dominant. Some coffee. Palate - medium bodied and creamy textured. Light roast. Overall - very nice.

Bottle (bottled 1/21/19) pour from trade with Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ! Appearance is very, very dark brown--virtually opaque black--with lots of sparkle at the edges of the glass, crackling, fizzy, finger-width light brown head and no lacing. Aroma is strong coffee, maple, dark chocolate, vanilla, light bacon. Taste is strong coffee, maple, roasted malt, vanilla, creamy chocolate and mild bacon. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, creamy texture, soft carbonation but with late lively sting to the tip of the tongue (diminishes as it warms), and finish as taste. Overall, good deal of complexity with strong flavors. A bummer that the bacon has faded but pleased the coffee is hanging in there after 23 months.

Nice beer; a bit lacking in the bacon and porter departments, but the java roastiness makes up for the lack of bacon smoke, and the maple notes are prominent without growing cloy. I wish the porter was stronger—kinda comes off as an afterthought—but as a whole the beer works.

Killed the keg at Beach Liquors in Destin. Black, with a giant pile of foam on top. Big maple syrup and coffee nose. Some caramel and brown bread. Very sweet and sugary, with a touch of bitterness. Big and syrupy palate. Delicious and decadent.
