Simple but tasty aroma of mostly cucumber, some gherkin, lactose and creamy notes. Flavour is medium sour. This delivers the goods. Quite refreshing, would love to drink this again on a hot summer day.

On tap at the Small Bar, Bristol 21/9/2015. Slightly hazy gold, with next to no head. Soursih beer, with some cucumber notes lurking in the background and a tart finish. Ok.

Sampled from draught @ In de Wildeman. Hazy misty orangy color, small white head. Smell and taste is in fact sourish gurkin. Well done but not my thing at all. Bleh.

Draft @ Brett Fest 2015. Wow, this is weird stuff. Aroma of sour cucumber. Taste is quite special and unlike anything else, with mild sour pickle, creamy cucumber and a burning vanilla that strangely matches with the gherkin. Very creative and nice.

Draught at In De Wildeman for Carnivale Brettanomyces. Creamy, stable, lacing, off-white head over a hazy golden blonde beer with peachy hue. The nose is fun: the sweet-sourness of pickled gherkins, apparently the effect which was sought after, has been well achieved... I otherwise get yoghurt, spicy yeast, lemon peel, hay, grass. Yoghurty lactic sourishness with a crisp kind of โdry fruitinessโ, I suppose this is the cucumber, the combination of which again strongly reminds of pickled gherkins, some honeyish malt sweetishness adding to the experience, dry and yeasty, tart finish. A surprising, gimmicky beer but more serious than it may seem, fun to try. Thanks to Ster, the lovely young lady running the BeerTemple, for sharing this!

Tap @ In de Wildeman at Carnivale 2015, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of cucumber, pickles, slight sour cream, bit grainy malt, slight funky. Sour taste, pickles, cucumber. I loved most cucumber beers I tried, and I like pickles as well. Weird for a beer, but wonderful if you like it.

Draft at In De Wildeman. Pours cloudy orange with a ring off white head. Aroma of gherkin, funk, funky gherkin, pickled cucumber etc etc. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and light moderate acidic. Some gherkin coming out in the palate surprisingly. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation. Lambic style - Gherkin.
