Bottle. Reddish brown color. Cloudy, no head. Red berries, caramel and wood in the aroma. Thinnish. Sour flavor with red berris, rye, wood. Slightly herbal. Looks ugly, but really a very nice beer.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Katjelam Flemish Rye ].[ Courtesy of my Local Swap 2015-3 MonsterMagnet ]. Clear medium to dark red color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, tart, sour, cherry - fruity cherrt, wood, red berries. Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic with a long duration, acetic vinegar, fruity berry tart, vinegar, wood, red berries. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is lively - fizzy but looks flat. [20160303]

Bottled, thanks MonsterMagnet! Cloudy dark amber, small head. Vinegary nose with some caramel. Mid sweet with distinct vinegary sourness and well rounded mouthfeel. Acetic with notes of ash and blackberries. Low bitterness. Interesting but not very harmonious.

0.33 l bottle from ’Stanislaus Brewskovitch’, bottled in April 2015. Slightly hazy, red amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Sourish-fruity aroma of redcurrant, red grapes, balsamico and oak. Sour-fruity taste of redcurrant, red grapes, balsamico and oak, followed by a medium long, heavily tart, woody and dry finish. Medium body, spritzy and astringent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very sour, refreshing, rather fruity and complex as well. Very good, love it!

On tap @ Arendsnest, with the Katjelam guys. Dark-brown color, cloudy. Dense off white head. Aroma’s: sour, cherries, marzipan. More sourness retronasal, light cherries, light sweet fruits, light brett. Flavor is moderate sour’n’sweet. Medium bodied (rather full actually, probably due to the rye). Finishes with sour fruit. Very nice!
