"The boys at Against The Grain made a beer based on a fictional 'sexy man' and uhh, his sheep friend. So sticking with the theme and the fact that we have been spending some time in Brazil lately, we decided to amp up the sexy and host a tropical orgy of fruit flavors, hops, malt, and yeast..umm, yeah." - Brian (Stillwater Artisanal)

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a clearish deep gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Tart lemon on the nose with some cracked wheat, saison yeast notes and light tropical fruit. Dry and fruit-forward on the palate with most of the mango and passion fruit having drifted to the background. Tart lemon and light grassy funk. Enjoyable but starting to fade a little I think. --- Beer merged from original tick of Stillwater / Against The Grain Rio De Sauvin on 01 Jul 2018 at 11:12 - Score: 7

Bottle: Clear, tiny-bubbled amber, with a short, light almond head. Aroma is hyper-tropical.....orange, pineapple, banana, passion fruit. Taste is comprised of the same, but less pronounced..... Sweet, alongside a mild peel/pulpy bittering. Tasty, just wish the flavor packed the same wallop as the scent.

22oz bomber. Hazy, unfiltered looking orange-yellow body. Thin, oily white head. Nice flavor merge between the saison yeast and the fruit juices. Quite unique, pretty well executed in that it doesn’t come off messy...The yeast esters are big, zesty at times but are really well complemented by the fruit additions. I find it hard to gauge the hoppiness, or discern between what might be Nelson but is just passionfruit juice or yeast. A unique saison certainly.

It finishes lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter and lightly to moderately acidic. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Dry finish. It’s a saison juiced with tropical fruits. Taste of mostly mango, but also citrus and pineapple. Tangy and slightly tart.

Sampled on draft at Vintage Estate this beer poured a very pale yellow color with a a small white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was strong tequila and black pepper. The flavor was tequila, pepper and tangy passionfruit and mango. Very long tequila finish. Light body. Odd but interesting.

Bomber from Capitol Beer. Pours bright gold with a slight white head. Aromas of mango and tropical fruits. Med body or nearly. Flavor is lightly funky, earthy, mango and exotic fruits. Mango seems to dominate the finish, but it’s all good. Nice.
