Farmhouse ale brewed with mango juice and passion fruit juice.
"The boys at Against The Grain made a beer based on a fictional 'sexy man' and uhh, his sheep friend. So sticking with the theme and the fact that we have been spending some time in Brazil lately, we decided to amp up the sexy and host a tropical orgy of fruit flavors, hops, malt, and yeast..umm, yeah." - Brian (Stillwater Artisanal)

Bomber. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. The aroma is super dank. The flavor is more dank, vanilla, sweet resin hops.

Bottle - thanks Nolen. Pours clear yellow, small white head, some lacing. Aroma is grass, hay, vegetal, pepper, citrus, saison yeast. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter. Light body, high carbonation. Interesting, not great. Retry better with some enhanced citrus notes in there as well.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lightly tart lemon, lime, mango, passion fruit, white grape, pear, apple, light banana, pepper, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, fruit juice, hops, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lightly tart lemon, lime, mango, passion fruit, white grape, pear, apple, light banana, pepper, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of yeast spiciness and light fruity/yeasty tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, mango, passion fruit, white grape, pear, apple, pepper, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, fruity juice, hops, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great yeast/hop/juice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice fruited saison style. All around great robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, fruit juice, hops, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Draft pour at Special Brews. Pours a clear golden color with almost no head. Strange, funky grainy, honestly offputting aroma. Almost scared me away, but the beer doesn’t taste bad. Sweet, juicy tropical fruit flavor. Mango, banana, and light orange. Finishes with a yeast funk to it. Weird beer for sure, but not bad. Glad I tried this.

The beer is yellow gold. Some haze. The head is medium small, a bit fizzy and white. The aroma is tropical but actually less so than expected. While it’s not overwhelmingly juicy, there’s still a solid amount of mango and passionfruit. Mild plastic note and a little too sweet. Some funk. Some spice and other fruitiness. The taste is sweet and fruity, but again, it seems a bit off. It’s a thin sweetness. The acidity is too weak for the tropical fruit juice, and it feels flat and lacks a certain brightness of flavor. The beer seems to have nice flavors bouncing around, but they don’t add up to a particularly pleasant sum. Mouthfeel is a bit fizzy, medium body, sticky finish. This beer seems like it started off as an interesting idea, but fruit sugar overwhelmed it.

16oz pour at Closed for Buisness pours a clear gold with some lacing white head. Nose has some very yeasty notes, vinous, white grape, peppercorn, spice. Flavor follows, peppercorns, green bell pepper, candy, honey. Flavor really let’s down. Sticky finish.
