We decided to see how much chocolate awesomeness we could cram into a bottle and this was the result.

Striking such a perfect balance between chocolate, malt and hops even the world’s most eccentric chocolatier would be proud.

Like a fat German boy falling into a river of chocolate, the luxurious smoothness of chocoholic will envelope you.

Keg, half-pint in perfect condition at Craft Beer Co in Islington. Patchy surface, spotty lacing and a tan-coloured head. Dark grainy chocolate to the nose. Cocoa powder to the taste buds, small bite of lactose to it, finish off with roasted, bitter chocolate malt. Well balanced. Likable (London, 26.11.2012).

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; pours almost pitch black thin head chocolate malt aroma, dark chocolate taste with heavy malt, nice carbonation with a slight gritty texture. I like it. Love the branding.

Bottle shared at The Kernel, London thanks to Thomas. Pours brown with a creamy, beige foam head. Dry and chalky cocoa character, moderately. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Drinks like a lower ABV beer than it is. Dry finish with lots of dusty cocoa. Not bad.

Rake. Clear dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Smooth palate, soft and dry. Fine carbonation. Mildly smoky and roasty dark malt. The chocolate is very mild and partially hides even milder red fruits. Soft finish with more mild roast malt. Not bad.
