We decided to see how much chocolate awesomeness we could cram into a bottle and this was the result.

Striking such a perfect balance between chocolate, malt and hops even the world’s most eccentric chocolatier would be proud.

Like a fat German boy falling into a river of chocolate, the luxurious smoothness of chocoholic will envelope you.

Delicious but, in the usual Tiny Rebel way, far too sweet. Definitely only 5.0%, not 6.8% as shown on Untappd

Bottle at Pre-GBBF Shindig 2015. I imagine this has some age on it. It pours cloudy brown with a massive light tan head. The nose is soft, cocoa, caramel, sweet hot chocolate and dairy milk. The taste is slick, bitter-sweet, earthy roast, chocolate, cocoa power and not much else. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Simple, but thankfully not too sweet. Enjoyable enough.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a dark mahogany colour with a very slight reddish hue. The tan head was quite frothy initially, but didn’t last for long. The aroma was unsurprisingly mainly of chocolate! When I bought this bottle, I must admit I was a little worried by the label, as it gave the impression that this beer was a chocolate lovers dream, but thankfully the chocolate was there in the flavour, but it wasn’t dominant in any way. I’ve had chocolate beers in Belgium before and they are uber sickly. This was perfect. The dry hoppy pepperness went well with subtle notes from the chocolate to deliver a superb and very tasty ale. Another classic from Wales!
