At Mills River with the in-laws.

Resurrected recipe, un-retired.
Clear, bright, pale amber, everlasting foam.
Dusty malt, dry rind, pine sap; potent.
Strong citrus rind, sweet orange, very bitter pith, lingering astringency, nicely dry.
Very foamy, decent carb, just a bit of body.

This is great.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clear golden copper color with a full finger of creamy foam that lingers. Light citrusy nose with some pine and crackery malt. Slightly creamy, leafy hop bitterness. Smooth and lemony biscuit malt finish. Really nice pale ale with a lot of flavor and great mouthfeel. --- Beer merged from original tick of Spoaty Oaty on 03 Aug 2018 at 21:20 - Score: 7. 16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 6/29/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper/pine, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.4%. Overall this is a delicious American pale ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Nicely vibrant/dank hops; nice bready malt backbone, with mild lingering sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Still tasted great, considering the age of the can.

Pint can stamped best by 2/28/18 > stange A: Poured hard to 1/2" of thick white head atop clear pale gold body. Good retention from very active big bubbles. S: Light scent of peach and tart citrus. T: Brash hops bitterness with loads of pithy and zesty citrus notes. Tart fruit, oats and grains then join and linger in the aftertaste. M: Medium light and crisp bodied with subtle oats providing a grainy but not quite velvety smooth texture. Bitter but clean finish. O: Pretty good overall. Widely available and well priced makes it well worth a try.
