Burk från SB. Mörkbrun vätska utan skum. Stor och söt kropp. Kaffepralin, fat, bourbon, fudge. Hyfsat drickvänlig trots sina modiga 12%. Mycket värmande alkohol. Maffig och god men lite over the top

(Bottle) Black colour with almost no head. Malty, roasted nose with liquorice, black rye bread, soy sauce, caramel, cacao, sweet espresso and hints of tar and asphalt. Malty, roasted taste with notes of liquorice, soy sauce, black rye bread, treacle, cacao, roasted oats, sweet espresso and a balanced roasty bitterness in a finish with a warming alcohol touch. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Clean and quite well balanced for its strength, with lots of liquorice. Very nice.

750 mL bottle, thanks to Brett! 2014 vintage. Pours black, with a medium, frothy, brown head. The aroma is cloves, anise, dark chocolate, vanilla, coconut, and oak. Sweet and sugary, with a mild bitterness and a boozy finish. Heavy body, with a syrupy, grainy, spicy palate. Big, complex, and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyable.

At Hopishop 2016. Aroma of malt, coffee and licorice. Taste has licorice, coffee, sweet soft roasted malt and cream. Liked it more than most other licorice beers.

0,75l bottle at Vienna Tasting shared by Nische, big thanks. BB 04/18/11. black color, small off-white head. smells of vanilla, licorice, spices, some roast. too much vanilla. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, vanilla, spices, wood, rather alcoholic. finishes lightly roasted with some alcohol with notes of licorice and wood. good stuff, a bit too much vanilla for me. overall ok.
