Once again, we partner with Barrington Coffee Roasters to brew Night & Day. In order to reach the higher gravity and fuller-body of this massive imperial stout we employ a reiterated mash technique that allows us to create an unusually rich, high gravity, 100% malt wort. Pouring raven-black with a persistent creamy pale-brown head, Night & Day is seductive with aromatics of roasted dark malt, espresso, caramel, cocoa powder, dark fruit, charred toast, and subtle sweet vanilla. At a soul-warming ABV of 11.5%, this bold, imperial tout drinks velvety smooth with mellow bitterness, silky carbonation, and balanced flavors of dark roast coffee, chocolate, figs, affogato and black cherry.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Opaque dark brown beer, decent bubbly tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine carbonation. Soft smooth dark malts, a good dark malt creamy sweetness. Mellow and slightly tangy chocolate and chocolate brownie. Mild oaty sweetness. Soft coffee. Not that complex but, rich enough.

Brewver rating number 8,300. 500 ml bottle from Canton brewery. Jet black pour fosters a brief tan head that settles to a scant ring. Aromas of espresso, bittersweet chocolate and black currants. Flavor is intense and warming. Big notes of espresso and dark chocolate ganache. Rich, decadent flavors throughout. Sticky mouthfeel. Long, bittersweet finish and aftertaste.

750mL bottled March 2022, drunk 5/13/22. Dark ebony, undetermined clarity. Medium-sized, dark beige head showing moderate retention. Rich, chocolatey, fudgey and full of plentiful coffee without any huge/excessive roasted acidity. Some light alcohol, though it's not sharp with fruity esters and hints of vanilla. Lingering caramel. Soft, rich, viscous, moderately sweet though the coffee/roast/acidity balances pretty well. Not boozey nor is it too acidic. Tons of layers of cocoa, fudge, vanilla, caramel and roasted coffee. Pretty nice, as usual, for the series.
