Das Weiherer Rauch, das beim European Beer Star mit der Goldmedaille prämiert worden ist, besticht nicht nur mit glänzendem goldfarbenen Aussehen, sondern vor allem durch seine fein-würzigen Rauchmalznoten. Allein der Geruch lässt sie eindeutig erkennen, doch zeigen sie sich auf ihrem Höhepunkt erst beim Genuss. Da kommt der ganze weiche, niemals zu heftige Malzkörper zum Vorschein, der eingehüllt ist in die zarten Hopfennoten. Da bleibt der Hauch von Rauch auch noch, wenn der letzte Schluck getrunken ist. Ein Bier, das auch nicht-Rauchbier-Kenner überzeugt.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Firmly smoked aroma with smoked meat, grainy malt, some caramel. Flavour is fairly sweet with a light bitterness. Body is medium. Pretty in your face smoke at first, but then the grainy malt surfaces. On the sweet side. Not Schlenkerla quality, but good.

Bottle. A clear one, golden on color and with a small white head. Nice, almost subtle smoke aroma, ham and a nice maltyness. Some fruityness. It's full to medium bodied, nicely carbonated and with a little sweetness. Ham, smoke, fruityness and some grain. Lasting finish. Nice indeed. 240907

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Saturday 1st July 2023 sat outside it's been sunny and also cloudy, the temperature is very pleasant though, we had Spiced Koftas with Grilled Flatbread and Tomato- Zaatar Dressing, listening to Chvrches - Screen Violence. Pours clear gold with a large white head. Straight off there is a wonderful smokey nose, smokey sausages, mmhhh...Nice softness, malty, smokey a little caramel, it's a very good smoked beer.
